Our Teachers

Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center is located in Bellingham Washington, a small non profit Early Learning Center. We are passionate about meeting children where they are and growing with them through hands on learning, outdoor play, small groups, and guided adult support.

The BCLC staff is qualified in child development skills and possesses the ability to relate positively and openly to children, parents, and other staff members. Our staff is selected according to their personal qualities of warmth and empathy. BCLC has a continuous staff-training program that further develops these qualities and gives the staff specific childcare skills and knowledge that they require. Many of BCLC staff have or are in process of attaining their Associates, Bachelors , or Masters degree in Child related fields.

Some of the most important skills are taught during the birth to five years. Through play, small group activities, whole group activities, and circle time children are building the following skills;

  • Social emotional skills

  • Language development

  • Literacy development

  • Physical development such as, gross motor, and fine motor

  • Cognitive development

The early years are about playing, building community, and growing each day. Building skills to be successful and curious while navigating the world around them.

As a non-profit organization with limited access, we place immense importance on partnering with Early Learning Intervention specialists, developmental preschools, and outside therapeutic services, and families to best serve all children in our community.

Our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children is at the heart of everything we do at BCLC. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are honored to be a part of their journey.
