The Rainbow Room is for preschoolers between four and five years of age. There are two caregivers with a maximum of twenty children. The Rainbow's curriculum is designed to encourage motor movement, social and emotional development, creative expression, and kindergarten readiness. In addition to these basic components, children are also introduced to the STAR curriculum, which stands for Steps To Achieving Resilience. The STAR curriculum focuses on concepts that promote social, self-regulation, literacy, language, and cognitive development through child-directed and teacher-led activities. The STAR materials are used to compliment our themes and routines already in place.
